Despite of the prior grandiose pan of Christian wedding because of the pandemic, Sarah Lahbati and husband Richard Gutierrez still pushed through with a more intimate ceremony to finally tie the knot.
But revealed the actress, both of them are still planning to continue a more eventful gathering regardless.
During the press conference of her contract signing with Viva Aritsts Agency, Sarah talked about why the star studded wedding was not pursued even after ECQ.
“We decided to do the civil wedding kasi with everything that’s going on, ano ba talaga yung real reason kung bakit tayo magpapakasal, which is our love for each other and our commitment for each other.
“We’re not doing it for the amount of people that are going there. We’re doing it for you and for me. So we decided to last-minute plan everything and change of plans talaga.
“With all the uncertainties that were happening, parang we were just focused on making the civil wedding happen. Thank God, it did.”
But the couple are still planning for another celebration, just like the one they originally planned.
“Meron pa rin [plano]. Sayang yung wedding dresses ko,” she jokingly said.
Added her, “We wanna celebrate with our families, our extended families, our friends. Hindi namin yun nagawa so hopefully one day pag nawala na itong pandemic, magawa na namin ‘yon.
“So, yes, we still want to have a big celebration.”
And now that she is once again a contract star of VAA, fans can expect a more active Sarah in showbiz.
When asked about Richard’s opinion, Sarah said that her husband was very supportive of her getting back on her track.
As a matter of fact, Sarah even wants to work with Richard once again.
“We’re open to working together again. I think it’s been eight or nine years since we last work together onscreen.
“It’s been awhile since I’ve been active on the screen. I am very excited to work again.
“Regarding taping, alam natin na lock-in ang taping, we just have to schedule it in a way na may maiiwan sa mga bata. We have to schedule it properly kasi very hands-on ako sa kids.”
